Roadtrip – London 2 Jammu
Day 7: Exploring Switzerland, Checking out Schilthorn, Interlaken
As we got within 5 miles of our hotel, the road started becoming thinner and thinner. I was loving it as I like these kind of reads but not Aarti. Our Dhanno (our car) was taking it well when suddenly after few amazingly steep and sharp turns, we were going uphill a 40 degree gradient and no jokes, while Aarti was screaming OMG.. OMG, I was trying to keep my cool and accelerating steadily and hoping our car which already weighed 2.8 Tonnes with another 0.6-0.7 tonnes of stuff on it including us, would not go backwards and keep on moving… [Read More]
Day 8: On Top of Europe, Enjoying the beauty of Jungfrau & then driving to Italy via beautiful Wassen Drive

This is such a great idea 🙂 I’ve heard of bicycle tours, people who hitchhike and of course people who road trip within a country, but driving on such a vast scale and for such a good cause I have not heard of before! Kutos to you, and thanks for inspiring me to keep going on my own journey
Thank you Zoe for your kind words. It was indeed an amazing adventure and thank god we did it. Wishing you the very best for your journey as well 🙂
Akhil & aarti please you can give technicla inputs of how to get permission for entring a vehicle ( indain Origin ) in the various countries where you had travelled through .
Hi Shoeb,
It would actually depend on which country/ies you wish to enter?
1. Many countries accept “Carnet-De-Passage”, it is a visa kinda document for vehicles.
2. China has its own mechanism and charges heavy duty on vehicles entering China, they wont even recognize international license.
3. You are free to cross borders within Europe provided you have valid motor insurance.
Let us know if you have any other questions 🙂
